I went exploring up McCall Gulch near our house. Many, many years ago, there was a moonshine distillery and an old sawmill up this gulch. I found remnants of one of the bridges they used.
The further up I went, the more treacherous it got. No trail, lots of blow downs, widowmakers, scree, and steep inclines that made it hard to climb and easy to fall coming down.

My wife and I hiked up to Treasure Falls, but it was only trickling. Not much water this time of year. We may return in the early Spring when there's a lot of snow melt.

My wife and I did an epic 8 mile round trip hike to Crater Lake near Elwood Pass. This is the most beautiful hike we've done this year.
The trail (707) started at over 10,000 ft and climbed over 12,000 ft before a 2.5 mile descent down to the lake. It was a tough slog coming back up. The trail was easy to follow the entire way.

My wife and I went for a little hike up to Monument Peak overlooking Spar City. It was all uphill to the top, then downhill all the way back. There was a lot of loose scree at the top that made the ascent a little tricky, but it is manageable.
