I went exploring up McCall Gulch near our house. Many, many years ago, there was a moonshine distillery and an old sawmill up this gulch. I found remnants of one of the bridges they used.
The further up I went, the more treacherous it got. No trail, lots of blow downs, widowmakers, scree, and steep inclines that made it hard to climb and easy to fall coming down.
