My wife and I did an epic 8 mile round trip hike to Crater Lake near Elwood Pass. This is the most beautiful hike we've done this year.
The trail (707) started at over 10,000 ft and climbed over 12,000 ft before a 2.5 mile descent down to the lake. It was a tough slog coming back up. The trail was easy to follow the entire way.
