Slipped in a hike before the rains come for the next few days. I hope the rains help with the wildfires and smoke air quality.

I hiked up the Treasure Creek Trail to the CDT.  The first 1/2 mile was uphill and then it leveled off in a beautiful valley for the next 1/2 mile.  It then was another 2 miles uphill where the trail merged onto the CDT.  I hiked about 1/2 mile on the CDT until I found a route to climb up the backside of Summit Peak (13,304 ft).  The peak was rated as a Class 2 climb, but the route I took was a Class 1 walk-up, albeit a difficult one.  The views on top overlooked the cliffy northface and were awesome.

I was feeling good so I decided to traverse over to an unnamed adjacent peak about 1/4 mile away.  It was somewhere in the 13000-1300 ft elevation range.  It was also a Class 1 walk-up, but a little more challenging than Summit Peak.

After descending, I decided to explore some unnamed ponds and lakes off-trail.  It was a good day and I was happy to bag two 13ers.
