I hiked the No Thoroughfare trail out past the first pool (which was just a puddle) to the first waterfall (which was only occasional drips of water). The trail continues on for many more miles through the canyon on an unmaintained trail, including another waterfall further in, but I had to turn back since I started late in the day and was running out of daylight.
