The Elliott Barker Trail Complex is a "tangled mess" of various trails that run through the Carson National Forest. I hiked out to Apache Pass, stopped in the vicinity of the high power utility lines, then returned via the other trails. I mistakenly took a horse trail for about 1.5 miles because trail signage was poor. The Loop De Loop trail is one of the favorite biking trails as there are lots of dirt mounds for bikers to get some air.
Overall, the trails are very scenic and provide some elevation change to make it challenging. In general, the trails are well marked, but there are some places where they are not (as mentioned above). I would recommend you take a printed map with you to help you navigate.
