Comments:

The Rio Villa Nature Trail is a nice looping trail that is part paved asphalt and part gravel.  The main attraction of the trail is a small, wooden pier along the San Jacinto River that serves as a nice observation point for birds.  There is also a canoe launch for those that want to get out on the water.

I recommend printing out a trail map and taking it with you.  There is a display trail map at the trailhead, but once you're on the trail there is no other signage.  It's impossible to get lost since the trail is so short, but there are a couple of cut-off trails that intersect the outer loop and knowing where they go can be confusing without a map.
