This is not a hike of Balboa Park;it is an urban hike my wife and I did to the Hillcrest area of town.  There isn't an actual trail - we walked along sidewalks on the streets.  I tagged Balboa Park only because it is the closest trail to where we walked.

The objective of this hike was to further explore the trail system within Balboa Park.  This hike occured mostly on the west side of Hwy 163, although we also ventured into the Marston canyon area east of Hwy 163.  Lot of make-shift homeless camps... sad.

My wife and I have walked through parts of Balboa Park before, but we've decided to start documenting our hikes.  There are numerous trails in Balboa Park, some paved sidewalks and others that are unimproved.  There is a lot to see and do in Balboa Park, including visiting the San Diego Zoo and numerous museums.  Wther exercising or just taking a nice stroll, Balboa Park is definitely on the "must do" list.
