Kestrel at a Distance
Haven't seen a Kestrel in quite awhile. Unfortunately, this one was at a distance and moving away from me.

Comments:

Out      Playground parking area > Tasajilla Flats > Horny Toad > Nature Loop > Lanky Lackey > Suzanne's Trail > Burkett park     3.5 miles

Return  Burkett park > Winding Snake > Chaparral > Playground parking area    3.1 miles

Temps in the low 40's, strong North wind, sunny.

A cold front moved through the area giving perfect weather for a hike!  All the trails were easy to traverse; the vegetation is dying out and there were no snakes to look out for.  Saw individual birds here and there although near the end of the hike, we saw a few small groups of  whitetail deer.

Only picked up a few pieces of trash on the trails so it was a good hike.

NOTES
