Comments:

Coppertone and I heard about Glass Beach and had some conflicting views on whether there was any sea glass still there.  After getting a tip from a Mendocino shopkeeper we showed up and went immediately to the "difficult" beach access.  It was worth the trip.

The difficult part is getting down the steep stairs made by a ladder of logs.  A couple of the bottom logs didn't have much sand or dirt between them, which made them a bit loose and unsteady.

The cove we visited here was Fort Bragg's garbage dump until 1959 and has much more glass than the more accessible cove to the north that was used until the late 1960's.
