With the previously promised sporting goods sales tax revenue finally making it to state parks, plans are being hatched to repair and improve the system across the state.

Well, it was fun while it lasted!

As politicians are prone to doing, they've raided the cookie jar and Texas parks are once again feeling the pain.

California's got its own set of issues with parks financing, so much so that many "state" parks are no longer managed and maintained by the state at all. They are state parks in name only.
